CARE

Care & Maintenance

Titanium is the lowest-maintenance precious metal on earth. It does not tarnish, does not require polishing, and does not need to be removed for water, sweat, or daily life.

LAST UPDATED · APRIL 2026

01

Daily Wear

Wear your piece in the shower, the ocean, the gym, the pool. Titanium is biocompatible, it does not react with chlorine, salt water, soap, sweat, or skin oils. It is the same alloy family used in surgical implants. It is unreactive to perfume, sunscreen, lotion, and cosmetics, wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth to keep it bright.

02

Cleaning

Rinse with warm water and a drop of mild soap. Dry with a soft cloth. That is the entire cleaning protocol. No polishing cloths, no chemical dips, no ultrasonic cleaners required. If the anodised finish has collected residue in a pattern, a soft toothbrush and warm water is sufficient to restore it.

03

Anodized Finishes

Black, blue, and bronze finishes are produced through electrochemical oxidation, they are part of the metal, not a coating. They will not chip or peel, but they can show wear at high-friction points over years of daily use. This patina is by design.

04

Magnetic & Medical

Titanium is paramagnetic, it will not stick to magnets and will not interfere with MRI or CT imaging. You can wear your MAISON AERO piece into a scanner. Inform the technician anyway so they can note it.

05

Complimentary Annual Inspection

Titanium does not require professional service. If you ever want us to inspect a clasp, re-polish a surface, or tighten a link, ship the piece to us once per year at no charge, this is a customer courtesy, not a maintenance requirement. Email care@maisonaero.com to arrange.

06

Storage

Store in the original MAISON AERO sleeve or any soft-lined box. Titanium does not require anti-tarnish strips or sealed containers. It will look identical in 30 years.
